Walmart Names Bob Moritz to Board of Directors

Moritz, a Former PwC Executive, to Bring Expertise in Retail and Financial Services

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (August 15, 2024) —

Walmart Inc. (WMT) today announced the appointment of Bob Moritz, the retired chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), to its board of directors. Moritz will bring extensive experience in retail and financial services to the board.

Moritz served as chairman of PwC from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, he was the firm's U.S. chairman and senior partner. He has also held various leadership roles at PwC, including managing partner of the firm's San Francisco office and leader of its global retail and consumer practice.

Moritz is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

"Bob Moritz is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of the retail and financial services industries," said Walmart CEO Doug McMillon. "His experience and insights will be invaluable to Walmart as we continue to grow our business and serve our customers."

Moritz's appointment brings the number of directors on Walmart's board to 14.
